The Skyward Kites Kite Festival returns to Miami's Haulover Park on Saturday and Sunday, October 24–25, 2026, from 12 PM to 5 PM for its 34th annual edition. Billed as the biggest kiting event in Florida, the skies above Collins Avenue will be packed with hundreds of colorful kites, including giant show kites like a 100-foot flying octopus, a 30-foot astronaut, massive stingrays, and giant shark figures. Hosted by Skyward Kites, the festival welcomes guests of all ages and celebrates South Florida's rich cultural diversity through traditional kites from countries across the Caribbean and Latin America. Attendees can bring their own kites or purchase one on-site, enjoy live music, food trucks, games, and more. Parking is $10 per car via ParkMobile (#46261); carpooling is strongly encouraged.
