Lyrical Lounge: Writing Workshop & Teen Open Mic Night
- When
- Friday, September 18, 2026 · 6:00 PM
Lyrical Lounge returns to the Sunrise Civic Center on Friday, September 18, bringing together young poets, musicians, and artists for a free monthly Teen Open Mic Night presented by the Jason Taylor Foundation and Omari Hardwick's Bluapple Poetry Network. The evening kicks off at 6:00 PM with a hands-on writing workshop led by a teaching artist, followed by an open mic from 7:00 to 9:00 PM where participants can take the stage or simply enjoy the performances. Words of positivity are encouraged, and all audience members are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served, making this a welcoming creative space for teens across South Florida. Additional dates are planned through December 2026.
