The City of Lauderdale Lakes brings Halloween to life with its annual Halloween Spooktacular: Heroes vs. Villains Trunk-or-Treat, taking place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 6 PM to 9 PM at Vincent Torres Memorial Park (4331 NW 36th St). Costumed kids are invited to trick-or-treat from decorated car trunks themed around beloved heroes and notorious villains, turning the parking lot into a festive battleground of candy and creativity. Participating trunks will compete in the Battle of the Trunks for awards including Best Hero Trunk, Best Villain Trunk, and People's Choice. Individuals, businesses, organizations, and community partners are encouraged to pick a side, decorate their vehicle, and help create a memorable Halloween night for approximately 1,000 children in the Lauderdale Lakes community.
