Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, through its Miami EcoAdventures program, brings a dark holiday twist to South Florida with the Krampus Night Hike at A.D. Barnes Park Nature Center on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 7 PM to 8 PM. Led by expert naturalists, participants will explore winding trails under the night sky while discovering the chilling Central European legend of Krampus — the horned, coal-delivering counterpart to St. Nicholas. This one-hour after-dark adventure is perfect for folklore enthusiasts, curious nature lovers, and anyone looking for a unique alternative to the usual holiday festivities. Registration is required and available through the Miami EcoAdventures website.
