Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces presents the Moonlight Kayak Tour at Deering Estate, a guided paddling experience set beneath the glow of a full moon on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Led by Deering Estate naturalists, participants will launch from the boat basin and paddle toward Chicken Key, a seven-acre mangrove island and active bird rookery roughly a mile offshore in Biscayne Bay. Tickets are $50 per person and space is limited, making early registration essential. The tour is recommended for intermediate paddlers and is open to adults 18 and older, as well as youth ages 9–17 accompanied by a registered parent or guardian. Deering Estate Foundation members receive a 10% discount.
