Furry Tales: Reading with Milano & Banjo is a charming literacy program hosted at the Coconut Grove Branch of the Miami-Dade Public Library on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Children ages 3 to 10 are invited to read their favorite stories aloud to Milano and Banjo, two registered therapy dogs, in a relaxed and encouraging setting. Reading to therapy dogs is known to help young readers build confidence and improve their literacy skills without the pressure of a traditional classroom environment. Participants are welcome to bring their own book or select one from the library's collection. The event is free and open to the public.
